1967 Jaguar Mark 10 420 G This luxurious automobile was Jaguar’s top of the line saloon for 10 years. The car was originally purchased in the color “Willow Green” by famous comedian Red Skelton who immediately had it painted the current color “Skelton Red”. After the purchase of the Jag from a dealer in Ohio in May of 2022, the car was mechanically recommission for driving. Currently it runs and drives well. The Jaguar 420 G is a luxurious automobile with the velvet ride like gliding on a cumulus cloud. The 4.2-liter engine is the same as the Jaguar XKE with three HD-8 SU carburetors. The engine also has a Crane electronic ignition and a WOSP gear reduction starter. Accessories include power seats, power windows and power steering. Everything works well, except the AC. It is a beautiful and luxurious saloon. This automobile marks the turning point for Jaguar between the older style cars like the Mark IX and the newer XJ6. It comes with a Heritage certificate from Jaguar Thrust. The 420 G has just over 41,000 miles since new and it looks, smells and feels new with beautiful interior trimmed with luxurious tan leather hides and real wood trim.
